Originally we were impressed with this million dollar operation and their image, resourcefulness and accounts. They run three power washing units like the one pictured above. They are a family business with 20+ years. Everything about this company seemed legitimate after the article in "Cleaner Times" May, 2000. We must say we were quite impressed, until we looked inside of one of their rigs. Here is what we saw.
When we looked inside their rig, we lost all respect for their company. This is when we realized how vulnerable they were to "Team Yellow." Washing one state at a time. |
Here is Applied Pressure - Mobile Power Wash of
Columbus, Ohio. They specialize in concrete cleaning and also own an eight truck
fleet of street sweepers working in downtown Columbus. They hold many government
contracts and lots of property management accounts. They also sell what they call
"quality pressure washers" to their smaller competition, while giving them
small, unprofitable and unwanted side jobs. They often sub-contract the parts of
their government contracts to those people who patronize their equipment division, thus
controlling the market.
